Mission, vision and values

Lund University's vision is to be a world-class university that understands, explains and improves our world and the human condition. The goals and strategies we define help us to both fulfil the requirements of the Higher Education Act and reach our full potential.

Strategic plan

In order to lead and develop the organisation in the future, the board at Campus Helsingborg has formulated a strategic plan for the years 2023-2026.

Lund University's strategic plan (2017-2026) and platform for strategic work (2023-2024) remain the foundation on which Campus Helsingborg's plan rests. The plan exists in parallel with the faculties' own strategic plans. Campus Helsingborg has chosen to add a 6th development area that is unique to Campus Helsingborg.

Development areas for Campus Helsingborg

  • Education and research should be intertwined.
  • Active collaborations are stimulated to solve societal challenges.
  • The development as an international higher education institution continues.
  • Well-developed leadership and employeeship are success factors.
  • Students, staff and visitors are offered attractive environments.
  • Activities are characterised by pioneering and continuous development.

Pioneering and continuous development

For more than 20 years, Campus Helsingborg has successfully worked with education and interdisciplinary research in constructive collaboration with the surrounding society. In the coming years, we will continue to develop ways of working outside traditional patterns.

At the heart of our pioneering work is

  • Creating test beds in the form of new transdisciplinary constellations, courses, programmes, research projects, organisational models and collaborations.
  • Testing new facilities, pedagogies and relevant course offerings to meet the growing need for lifelong learning.
  • To make our development work, research and outcomes visible in new and innovative ways to generate interest, engagement, exchange and benefit in the surrounding society.
  • To challenge current venues and environments in order to add value for students and staff.
  • To initiate and ensure close cooperation with actors in the innovation system.
