Why did you choose Lund University and your programme?
I was interested in Tourism programmes, so I did some research online and found this one which seemed quite interesting. I also got accepted to an Austrian university, but I decided to come to Lund, mainly because of its reputation, and also because I usually say that in comfort you cannot grow! Austria would have been closer to home, my boyfriend and my best friends who are studying in Germany and Austria. For that reason, I knew Sweden would be more of a challenge, forcing me to develop and grow. That turned out to be the case and I am happy about my choice!
What do you think about studying at Campus Helsingborg?
The campus is lovely! Less Harry Potter-ish than Campus Lund, but still lovely. The 7th floor and the piano I would say are the best parts. Not to mention that the beach is not so far and the sunsets… They are out of this world!
What is it like to be an international student at Lund University and on Campus Helsingborg?
It's really nice! You get to know people from all over the world. As for the social activities, Agora and Stampus make sure your student experience is constantly at its peak.
Do you have any advice for other students who are considering coming to Lund University and Campus Helsingborg?
I would say just don’t hesitate! It will most certainly be rewarding. You can choose to live in Lund, if the idea of a classic student city attracts you. Commuting is not difficult and this way you get to be part of both “student worlds”. And prepare to be surprised by both your colleagues and professors! Everyone here is quite special so try to engage with them!
Do you have any favourite spots in the city of Helsingborg?
I love taking my baby dog for walks by the sea and in Högaborgsängen and Jordbodalen.
What are your future plans?
I plan on moving to Germany. I would like to work in tourism in a tiny German city called Würzburg, located between Nuremberg and Frankfurt in Bavaria. In the future, I would love to be part of the tourism decision-making team of that city because I think it has a huge potential!
