Six different projects and initiatives at Campus Helsingborg will now receive strategic funding from Lund University. They focus on topics such as AI technology in retail, sustainable fashion, social service interventions, defence and democratic resilience, and career programmes for international students. At the same time, the already established interdisciplinary network CROCUS will continue to be supported.

Between April and September 2024, Lund University staff who are currently or will be based at the Helsingborg campus had the opportunity to apply for funding for research or collaboration. This could apply to both new and established initiatives. It was also possible to apply for pioneer funding, where all staff are encouraged to test new ideas. It is now clear which applications will receive Lund University's strategic funding in this round. A total of SEK 3 million will be awarded.

"Pioneering is one of the focus areas in our strategic work, so in addition to supporting research and collaboration, it is also exciting to see what innovative ideas are submitted and how we can support them," says Charlotta Johnsson, Rector of Campus Helsingborg.

A new call for proposals will be launched in 2025, when anyone with a connection to Campus Helsingborg will again be able to apply for funding from Lund University.
